The short version

Family Room is a private space for your family. Be kind. There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive people: no nudity or sexual content, no violence or threats, no bullying, harassment or hate, nothing illegal, and nothing that isn't yours to share.

Your account

You can use Family Room without signing in (we make a private account on this phone) and add Sign in with Apple at any time. You must be 13 or older, or use Family Room with a parent or guardian's permission. You're responsible for what you share.

What you share

Your photos, videos, voice notes and words stay yours. You let us store them and show them to the people in your family on Family Room, which is all we use them for. Only people in a family can see that family's moments.

Reporting and blocking

Hold or tap ••• on any moment, comment or person to Report it. What you report is hidden for you right away. You can also Block someone: their moments and comments disappear for you, and they aren't told. The family's organizer can remove people from the family.

We review every report within 24 hours. When something breaks these rules we remove it, and we remove people who break them.

Plus

Family Room Plus is a subscription for the whole family, billed by Apple. It renews until you cancel in your Apple ID settings (at least 24 hours before the renewal date). Free families keep every moment; older days are just locked until Plus.

Ending

You can leave a family or delete your account in the app (You → Delete account). We may suspend accounts that break these terms.

The legal bits

Family Room is provided as is, without warranties, to the extent the law allows, and our liability is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months. These terms are governed by the laws of California, USA. If we change them we'll update this page and the date above.
